In the morning I did a study of the model in pastel and charcoal.
In the afternoon I painted another model in watercolour.
First I did the underdrawing in pencil:
Then I started painting using watercolour:

I was at the studio from 10 am to 3:30pm. It was a very productive and enjoyable day !
New pastel portrait ‘My sister with a cat’
For this drawing I’m only using a green conte pastel and a white conte pastel for highlights
First draw outlines roughly
Adding details : Start drawing from dark tones then mid tones
Adding highlights with white pastel
I have been painting portraits in pastels recently.
This is a portrait of my partner who is sketching me. He is also an artist so we sometimes draw each other.
Drawing process :
Started drawing with a grey conte pastel
Emphasizing dark tones with dark brown pastel
adding backgrounds with grey pastel
painting mid tones with brown pastel, highlighting with white pastel…and finish!
