Ceramic jewelries

I was in a ceramic studio in North London on Sartuday to finish painting my ceramic pieces.

Here are the last pieces.

Three larger ones are coasters. Looking forward to seeing them once they are out of the kiln.

In the evening I made myself a bracelet with the charm I’ve made.

Also I made these necklaces and accessories for my family in Japan as I am visiting them next month!

My first handmade ceramic brooch

Yesterday I went to a bead shop in London to get some jewelry making items.

Here is my first handmade ceramic brooch:)

Do you like it?

Next I will be making some pendants with my ceramic charms I made recently 🙂

New painting ‘Cosmos’

Hope everyone had a nice weekend.
My sister who lives in Japan sent me this beautiful photo of cosmos she took a few weeks ago, so I decided to paint based on this photograph:)

Here is what I painted from the photo.

As usual, I will show you the painting process:)

First I wet the paper with water using a big brush and started painting the green with watercolour. I used Winsor&Newton’s 300 gsm watercolour paper.

Then I scattered coarse sea salts to give some effects.

Started painting flowers while the paper was still wet.

Once it’s dried, I added more details, but not too much as I wanted to leave it slightly abstract and imaginative.

Here is the finished work, hope you enjoyed it:)

Ceramic charms

Hello everyone!

Today I went back to a ceramic studio in North London to collect my ceramic charms which have been fired.

What do you think? 🙂

I quite like these marine motifs, I’m thinking to make a bracelet with these.

I still had these charms and coasters to paint, so I spent my Saturday afternoon at the studio again. (It’s a lovely studio though – if you live in North London and want to try out a ceramic painting, I recommend this ceramic studio ‘Ceramic Circle‘ )

And here is what I painted today:)

I did not finish painting all the pieces today, so I will go back there again when those pieces I painted today are fired and ready. I’m looking forward to see them:)

ceramics to paint

Work in progress..

Hello! Hope everyone had a nice weekend.

I’m currently working on a portrait and here is the sneak peak 🙂

Portrait acrylic painting

I’ll show you the process so far:) I used acrylics for this painting.

I started painting directly on the canvas board without a preparatory drawing.

Added more details…

Added details in backgrounds.. The model was also an artist and had many of his drawings framed and put up on the wall in his house, so I decided to include them in my painting.

Thanks for reading!

I’ll keep you updated with the progress:)
